new book arriving today

thank you npr, again. i am waiting to receive and read 'severance'... it's not a new book, but one that caught my attention. it's a series of monologues based on the theory that once a human body has been decapitated, consciousness remains for 1 to 1.5 minutes. these monologues are written with what might be said during those last seconds of consciousness...

morbid, perhaps. but, i'm intrigued.
